In July 2018 the Pine Woods Conservation Group set out to encourage people to visit some of the lesser known areas of the Pine Woods. They created two beautiful, and very well received, trails of miniature doors.
The doors were placed at the foot of trees and were decorated by local schools, youth groups and volunteers. They've been delighting children (and adults too) over the summer but this week some of the doors have unfortunately been found vandalised, as you can see above. Secretary of the Conservation Group, Lucy Hind, expressed disappointment but noted that residents and groups can still get involved and doors can be purchased from local businesses for a small donation. You can find out more on the Harrogate Informer website here.
If you have any information about the damage, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101.
