A scheme to floodlight the beautiful Knaresborough Castle has gone live this week.
The Knaresborough Town Council's Castle Working Group has worked hard with consultant Brian Robinson to create a sympathetic scheme which will also reflect the castle's turbulent history.
The scheme comprises 14 floodlights in a variety of locations lighting three of the castle elevations. The permanent lights will be lit from dusk until 1230am each day and can be programmed to light different colours for various events. It is planned to light the castle pink during the FEVA and during times of national celebration, the Castle will be lit in red, white and blue.
