A Town House in Harrogate

With Furnish & Fettle

The owners of this beautiful property in central Harrogate had lived here for some time and were just looking for some help giving it a refresh.

Our designer, Helen Mackay, initially visited the property to get a good understanding of both the space what the couple wanted to achieve.

Kitchen Diner

Starting with the kitchen Helen was tasked with bringing the dining area space together with the kitchen to provide an elegant eating space.

The windows were dressed with roman blinds in a Zoffany fabric chosen to tie in with the colours in the granite worktops. A smart pole was added at the top of the blinds for a more finished look.

The existing table and chairs were used, with the seat covers upholstered in a luxury velvet to pick out colours from the blind.

Master Bedroom

For the master bedroom the couple were wanting to achieve a luxurious, calm haven.

A metallic wallpaper from Brian Yates was used together with fabrics from Zinc and Kravet to create a roman blinds, a pelmet and curtains to give the window a well dressed look. Texture was added to the scheme with the faux fur throw, cushions and a quilted bedspread. And of course every glamours bedroom needs a chandelier!

Dressing Room

Leading off the master bedroom the dressing room didn’t want to be left out from the luxury make-over.

Fitted wardrobes meant little was required but a deep buttoned footstool was a useful addition and practical addition.

The small window previously had curtains which gave a fussy look so Helen suggested using window frosting stickers on the two side panels and then dressing the window with a smart roman blind in a stunning Colefax & Fowler embroidered applique fabric.
