The Supporters of Harrogate hospital pop up shop group have launched a new campaign to raise funds to stock the pop up shop at Harrogate Hospital and support the hospital and HDFT staff.
The campaign is an online Facebook shop of new and nearly new clothes for men, women and children called Clothes for Hope ️
Paula Shorrock who is leading the campaign said “As we can’t go out shopping at the moment, our group members are loving doing a little bit of online clothes shopping. Everyone enjoys a bargain and we have been donated some amazing new and nearly new clothes ranging from Hugo Boss to Primark. There is something for everyone and in all sizes.
The clothes are selling quicker than we can put them on Facebook but we do desperately need donations of quality new or nearly new.
All clothing donations are quarantined for a 72 period before being added to the online shop. Deliveries are only made as part of an essential journey or are posted to our customers”
Launched ten days ago, the campaign has already raised over £900 and the funds will be spent on providing drinks, snacks, toiletries and essentials to the staff at no charge.
Fiona Ryan, co founder of the Supporters of Harrogate Hospital Facebook group said “we have been working tirelessly over the past 10 months to invent new fundraising ideas and the Clothes for Hope idea has really taken off. Paula has worked tirelessly to make the online shop a success and the quality of the clothes we have been donated is amazing.
We are appealing for more clothes to ensure the fundraising continues. If you do have any new or nearly new clothes or shoes to donate, or would like to join the online shop, please join the Facebook group, Clothes for Hope, or email email@example.com
