Dealing with Receipts

Receipts.


They can be slippery little things. Easy to lose, all looking quite similar. Piling up like giant confetti in your purse or wallet, decorating the dining table and scrunched up in the car door pocket (that IS for receipts isn’t it?)


At MVH we recommend that receipts are gathered together once a week ideally, or at least once a month. Longer than this and you will have forgotten which receipt applies to which purchase and whether it is personal or business.


If you are using cloud software, scanning them against the record on your software is easy to do (if you can find the right receipt). If you are recording them manually, that is more time consuming, and all the more reason to keep on top of them.


Don’t put it off, gather and organise those receipts before they get out of hand!
