Meet some of the traders behind the Artisan Market in Harrogate this weekend

With Little Bird Made

Little Bird Made are delighted to be back in Harrogate this weekend for our monthly artisan market, at St Wilfrid’s Church on Duchy Rd, from 10am – 3pm on Saturday.

Some of our traders who will be joining with their beautiful handmade goods and produce are:

Spruce York

Spruce York is the passion project of Rebecca Ross, who after struggling to find the products she would like for her own home, decided to create them herself. A keen up-cycler, she now turns her hand to creating masterpieces from wood, metal and other materials that inspire her. She prides herself on unique, bespoke and up-cycled products that are all handmade and designed with the same loving care and attention to detail. Rebecca also sources products from other locally based craftspeople, bring them together to create Spruce York, which is based in the heart of York. She places an emphasis on helping to protect the environment through sourcing sustainable materials, not using plastic in their products or packaging and re-purposing or reusing materials were possible. So, drop by her stall and browse her range of wooden gifts and homeware items, ceramics, textiles, greeting cards and wrapping paper.

Rachel Melvin Art

Rachel is a watercolour and mixed media artist who specialises in wildlife and animal portraits. She has a variety of item for sale, including original artwork, limited edition prints, cards, and gifts such as mugs. Rachel also does pet portraits to commission, so if you would like to view her artwork or speak to her about a portrait, then drop by her stall on Saturday.

Stiltwalker’s Stuff

Artist Helen Seth works with fused glass and mixed media to create unique and innovative pieces inspired by the colours and landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, she calls home. She uses the beautiful scenery around her to produce the pieces from her arthouse studio at the bottom of her garden. She often combines other materials into her pieces to create contrasting textures. She also has a range of more traditional glass pieces such as coasters, small dishes, suncatchers, brooches and pendants. Helen has been trading at Little Bird Markets since they first started in 2018 and has continued to grow and expand her range of products throughout this time. Visit her stall and see the range and products inspired by the landscape around us.

Cosy P’s Wood Fire Pizza

Based in Harrogate, Steve and his team serve up delicious wood fired pizzas from the back of their converted Landrover. They use traditional local ingredients to create their hand rolled pizza, with everything from brunch to caramelised onions and goat cheese on the menu. Their menu changes with each season and they are always a big hit with both traders and customers and are a tasty bite for lunch while walking round the market or a great option to take home for your dinner. They are also available to hire for events and parties, so if you are looking for catering with a difference, then come along and speak to them and sample their pizzas for yourself.

Davenport Handmade

Ian spent 26years working in the railway starting off as an apprentice, before becoming a qualified maintenance fitter/electrician then working his way up to managerial level. After he left the Railway, he looked for a new hobby and decided to take up wood turning and follow in his dad’s footsteps. This was the start of his new career and Davenport Handmade was soon born. Every item is handmade and ensures each piece is one of a kind. Ian has also been trading at Little Bird Markets since our first event in 2018. He is a one-man business based in Leeds and specialises in creating unique wooden items. Some of his range includes bowls, jewellery boxes, pens and he can make bespoke projects to order, if you have something in mind then stop by and speak to him about your ideas.
