We've got a bumper edition for you this time: 90 pages of local information, useful articles and some fun ideas for Halloween. As the nights start to draw in, here at Handpicked Heights we are looking to get the garden tidy and the house cosy. We are looking forward to those crisp autumn days walking around our gorgeous town, and of course, looking forward to a spot of shopping in our lovely independent stores.
This month we have articles on autumn trends, both in the house and the garden, plus we shine the spotlight on some of our lovely independent antiques and collectables stores. The perfect place to pick up something quirky, fun or just plain lovely. Whether you are looking for something for the home, or a stunning new-to-you outfit, we've got something for everyone and we hope you enjoy our Hand-picks and feel inspired to visit these, and our many other lovely businesses over the coming weeks.
Events are starting to return at last so we hope to be able to bring back our events page in the next edition... just in time for Christmas. Here at Handpicked we visited our first big event for over two years, the fabulous Yarndale in Skipton, which allowed us to support a range of small businesses, some local, some less so, our small contribution to the recovery of the economy.
With travel looking increasingly possible and holidays on many people's minds, if you are looking to get away in 2022, check out our fabulous travel article about Canada. Written by Gill Matthews, our regular Travel Columnist, we are sure you will enjoy this one. We certainly did.
So, why not put your feet up, settle down with your drink of choice, click the magazine cover and get started.
Keeping local businesses visible is important and as always, we have loads of FREE Stuff to help business owners in these unusual times.
